Charlotte, NC’s own Deception Of A Ghost have tapped Jamie King to produce their new album for Bullet Tooth. The band will enter Basement Studios to begin production next week with Jamie who has a track record with bands like Between The Buried And Me, He Is Legend, For Today, Alesana, and many more. Fans can expect a devastatingly heavy and complex metal album with the melody and intricacies they have come to love from DOAG.
Producer Jamie King was psyched to get to work on a new DOAG album and said, “Excited to have the DOAG boys back in the studio, these guys always play super solid and make my job that much easier, not to mention all the laughs and great times. Judging from the material I’ve heard so far It’s going to open some eyes and ears for sure! I think these guys have the potential to get to the top with this one. We’re going to have fun as always and take this one to the next level! We’re going to make sure this one is a force to be reckoned with!”
Guitarist and songwriter Buddy Dameron checked in to say, “Not sure we could be ANY happier with the material we are going into the studio with this time. This stuff is gonna KILL, and we are beyond pleased with it. We’re also approaching the recording in a way neither Jamie nor us have ever tried before, we are reaching outta the box to get a HUGE sound. Soooo excited to bring this to our fans, we know it’s been a while for new DOAG stuff to be available but we promise it’s well worth the wait.
Drummer Bryan Sain also chimed in, “We’re really stoked to be going back to Jamie King for our second full length. It’s going to be a new learning process for both the band and Jamie and we’ve already been talking with him about how exciting it’s going to be. Our relationship with Jamie goes way back so he knows how to dial it in for us and give us exactly what we want in the studio.”
Deception Of A Ghost have also recently launched their new music video for the song “These Voices” off their debut full length album “Speak Up, You’re Not Alone”. The song has been a MAJOR hit at their live shows and currently available on The Orphan Killer Soundtrack. Behind the camera is director Scott Hansen, responsible for recent videos for A Day To Remember, Alesana, Memphis May Fire, I See Stars, and many more. The video was filmed in Washington, DC and showcases the band in their most comfortable habitat… PERFORMING. Watch the video NOW on YouTube or Metal Injection.
Blowin up iPods everywhere is their new single “Firework”, a metal version of Katy Perry’s popular song of the same name. The boys from Charlotte have put their own spin on it and you GOTTA hear it. Fans can stream the entire song at YouTube and buy the track at iTunes, Amazon, and everywhere else they buy and play music.
